On April 14, Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 officially opened its doors. As one of the most prestigious events in high watchmaking, this year’s edition brings together 65 exhibiting brands, marking the largest scale in the event’s history. It features a wide spectrum of internationally renowned maisons alongside emerging independent makers, all gathered to showcase their creations and explore the future direction of the watch industry. BEHRENS, the only Chinese independent haute horlogerie brand invited to exhibit for the first time at this year’s fair, takes its place on this world stage, presenting the brand’s ongoing exploration and evolution in independent watchmaking from China.

At the exhibition, BEHRENS presents an immersive artistic space that expresses the fusion of Eastern culture and mechanical art. This new edition design draws inspiration from the ancient Shu civilization, reinterpreting the Sanxingdui “Bronze Diamond Eye” through contemporary mechanical structures, bringing this millennia-old cultural symbol vividly onto the international horological stage.
Inside the space, layered mechanical sculptures create a rich sense of depth and structure. Through carefully designed lighting, attention is guided toward the timepieces, where modern aesthetics and mechanical artistry converge in quiet harmony. This distinctive presentation has drawn numerous international media, seasoned collectors, master watchmakers, and watch enthusiasts, all pausing to experience the unique charm of Eastern horology.

BEHRENS draws inspiration from the mysterious “Protruding Eyes” motifs of Sanxingdui for this new edition, reflecting on the extraordinary wisdom and creativity of the ancient Shu civilization. Through contemporary watchmaking, this millennia-old cultural essence is distilled into the wristwatch.
In this new creation, the geometric logic of the rhombus-shaped Bronze Diamond Eye is integrated into the movement layout, with its acute and obtuse angles defining the structural foundation. The Bronze Diamond Eye form is also reinterpreted into the hour and minute hands, symbolizing the continuous accumulation of “entropy” over time. The day-night display incorporates The "Sun and Immortal Birds Gold Ornament" as a symbol of the sun and daylight, echoing the ancient Shu understanding of sunrise, sunset, and the cyclical nature of light and time.

The brand introduces, a lightweight monolayer graphene composite material for the first time, achieving an ultra-thin aesthetic through advanced material innovation and delivering an exceptionally light wearing experience. This marks not only a breakthrough in material technology, but also reflects the brand’s continuous pursuit of comfort, durability, and mechanical artistry. This release also includes standard Grade 5 Titanium editions alongside the limited graphene editions. The LMGGH and LMGGH editions are each strictly limited to nine pieces worldwide.
